Tidus staying at Leona's house was nothing unusual. She was his aunt, after all - his mother was her sister, though she had died when he was still little, and Leona had shared the job of raising him.

No, what seemed strange was how cranky Tidus was at the moment, in the wake of his last break-up. Although the relationship had been rather casual and the split mutual, so he wasn't too hurt by it, Leona could easily tell when he was irritated by something.

So when they were both resting in the lounge at the end of a day, and he still seemed much more fidgety than usual, Leona looked at him with a gentle shake of her head. "Spit it out, Tidus," she told him. "I can tell something's wrong. You can tell it to me if you'd rather not say something to your father."
